Its a watch.... gender bias should not be a thing in todays market. Dudes with small wrists would disagree with that. I have a huge wrist and wear a 33mm because its more comfortable and light. The manufacturer is trying to sell to a market that would rather wear a smartwatch.
This model is just a single model by Tissot for a certain audience.
The 35mm automatic PRX lineup is coming in the first quarter of this year, probably soon. For all the small wrists fellows, you can be happy that time.
I think the more disappointing thing is the price. It's almost twice as much as the standard PRX. Granted it's got gold, but hopefully their expanded 35mm line comes in plain old steel as well.
There are no strict rules with watches these days though IMO, all watches are unisex as long as you like the look.

Exactly, I am still waiting for that 35mm stainless steel auto PRX!
I'm not sure why Tissot decided to lead with the bedazzled version, but they will likely release variants that do not have the diamonds or gold in due time. Tissot are no doubt still selling a ton of the 40mm automatics to men, and the probably worked out that releasing the watches in this way would lead to the highest sales volume over time.
Only at the price. If I recall this is the only model in the 35mm line up with a mechanical movemen, the rest are quart. For me this is a stupid move. The smaller watch looks great and I think wrongly being classed as a female or unisex watch, I tried it on and it’s a great size. The reason I tried it on was I thought the bigger version was a tad too big for me. I wasn’t particularly swayed by this model however stick the movement on a blue dial 35mm and I think it would fly off the shelf
I have it and it's great, although misaligned second hand is slightly annoying. I will be very tempted to get the powermatic 80 one when they release unisex ones
it's the combination of the rose gold fluted bezel, dial colour and diamond markers. I guess mostly the diamond markers. It just screams at me: "ladies watch". However, it is just my opinion. If you like it, go for it! :)

What exactly triggers the disappointment?
It's a ladies watch and there is no unisex automatic 35mm available
They all kinda look the same to me tbh 🤷🏻♂️

I'm hoping they release the standard 35mm models with automatic this year.

Diamonds, for me haha
the need to release more versions on 35mm automatic

I'm sure they will release more. The current list price is also a tad ... creative, even with diamonds.

What's wrong with the quartz?

It's generally thought that small watches = women's watches. Definitely unfortunate for smaller wrists, but I hope they get rid of that bias soon.

I think these things go in cycles, and I am pleased to see things coming back towards the 36-40mm range.
My New Year's resolution was to buy no watches greater than 40mm diameter. I broke it on 4h January!
It's a ladies watch and there is no unisex automatic 35mm available
What makes it a "ladies watch" per se?
What's wrong with the quartz?
For me it is not the movement that matters, but I prefer the dial pattern and colours of the auto PRX’s.

It's tough to predict what dials we'll get in the 35mm auto

so when is it coming? 😂
so when is it coming? 😂
Probably watchs and wonders. They released the PRX chronograph version during that time so can expect it soon hopefully.
Even in one of Teddy Baldassare video with Tissot CEO, he said the 35mm versions are coming soon.
@nightfury95 awesome, thanks mate, I wonder if they will have special dials
