It’s hard to beat that! It’s hard to beat Seiko across all price points.
I think the Seiko 5s are probably the best bang for buck available right now. Known brand, timeless design, good history going back to the 60s. And tons of customizability. That’s a beautiful watch!
No there probably isn’t, especially when it comes to GMTs. I’ve had mine for a little over a week, and I’m now a Seiko fan.

I’d argue that Orient makes a better value than the Seiko 5s. I’ve handled quite a few Orient divers and Seiko 5 watches. I’ve always felt that the Seikos are nice for the money, but the Oreints are just better made watches for less money.

You may have seen something like that. I mean, they are cheaper watches so I wouldn't ever expect perfection out of them. That said, there are many compaints about Seikos more budget friendly watches as well. Even the Seiko Prospex line has it's issues.
Same just deciding on color combo and how I can get away without my girlfriend noticing another new watch 😂

they look great; I especially like the "blueberry" one. But I do think there are better watches that house this movement, even at the current street price, if you're willing to go Microbrand/San Martin.
The harlex kinda kills it for me.
