No Tools? No Problem!

Had a buddy purchase a Seiko SPB143 on his way out to our job site. Oddly, the store told him they couldn't size it to him. He knew I was into watches so I told him I'd try my best to work something out.

Turns out, all you need is a paper clip and some form of plyers. 3 links later and we're in business.

On some watches it's pretty hard without tools. But looks good.

Where are the toothpick and the hair band???

The store didn't have a springbar/pushpin tool 🤨 ?

I just got this same watch, love it. Glad you got it sized so easily for him!

Cellphone SIM removal tools work well too.....and you don't need the pliers :D

That's wild the store wouldn't resize it, that would be a red flag to me! But heck yeah, mcgyvering stuff is the best!

I also find a drill, some hedge trimmers and some ordinary household bleach works quite well too…

My thoughts exactly! Apparently they behaved like they had no knowledge beyond the basic sales pitches.

Look you should always let a professional make those decisions chlorine is contraindicated you have to use a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution always.
