Yeah, when they came out years ago with the limited edition Sea versions I couldn't resist. I ended up with two in the series. What got me was the carbon fiber inlays in the bezel and dial. You definitely don't see any of these around nowadays.
I guess it depends on if your buying to sell or buying to collect. For me, I buy what I like and not worry about future values. Everyone is different. Do what you like. And buying a Tutima over an Omega doesn't make you less of a serious collector. Don't let Brands dictate how you evolve in this hobby. I, for one, collect watches ranging from $100 to high 5 figures and I love them all the same.
Wow, thanks for the info. I didn't realize they went for sometime without automatics. Even though the versions I have are chinese movements, the have been very reliable. They don't get a lot of wrist time nowadays but having them on once in a while really makes me appreciate them.
