Doxa SUB 200. Also available in white, orange, and light blue. It is ø42, but the lugs are rather short.

To me the Bulova GMT is the most interesting and unique piece of the four, and it’s a GMT. Currently waiting on a bronze Wise diver myself.

·

I saw many fellows here which are unhappy with their Bulova mil ships, because of its very narrow lugs size.

I also don't like it. It looks like a clock on a string tanga. But not in a good way.

It’s a very nice piece actually, but to me, beside the large colour palette, it’s somewhat “ordinary”, though classically elegant

On a rubber strap it should be absolutely lightweight! I love the colour contrast between cyan and mud grey

Lower price, Miyota 90, microbrand. 904L or even bronze (limited). Ø39, also thin and very ornate (for a diver). Wise Adamascus AD8.

In Men in Hope (a cynical movie about romantic relationships) a lady used hers as an improvised hair band so she could play a game of billiards without her hair getting in the way...

Take a look at William Wood, Maen, they have nice divers. Or one of my fave, the Vulcain Skindiver

Probably the only hair she still had 😂😂😂

Vulcain is fine, it costs around 1500, but still quite normal. I’ll check the maen and try to find something William Wood, a brand unknown to me

100% & I also like the colour scheme. The bezel click is super slick / crisp. It’s been a wrist favorite since I purchased it. The nato it came on is also very nice.

The Mil-Ships and the Ti Certina are both watches I like - but they're very different.

The way I wear watches, the Mil-Ships would be an occasional wear and the Certina more of a daily.

So I'd be asking myself how I'm going to be wearing it if it was me.

Otherwise I'd take a day and try to get hands on with all of them (and as many other watches as possible whilst you're there) and see which one resonates.

Good luck.

My vote goes to the Baltic Aquascaphe (39mm) or even better, the Aquascaphe titannium(41mm bezel 39case, lug to lug of 47).

Ciao Carlo va bene?

I recently went through this and I purchased a Baltic aquascaphe. I am very happy with it. I think for you of the options selected I would certainly consider the squale because of its Italian heritage and it’s an excellent watch.

I'm with the Baltic suggestions. It's on my top on list for next watch purchases.

·

Possible alternative, however I'm with the others Baltic would be the one I'd go too

The certina and oceanographer

·

As alternatives to the MIL-SHIPS also check out the echo/neutra Cortina 1956:

And the Tornek-Rayville TR-660:

I don’t own the others, but I can vouch for the Certina. Only issue is the male endlinks on the bracelet making it wear larger- but other than that, one of my faves in my collection!

Just bought a Squale 1545 so it's Squale all day long for me ,they're unparalleled in the history of the diving watch genre

The cortina doesn’t have a rotating bezel and the other is pretty much similar to the mil-spec to me

The certina and oceanographer

Choose one!

·

The Squale is beautiful. I’ve just ordered the grey version a few days ago! I’d go for that then the Certina.

Choose one!

The certina looks too much like something else so I'm going to go with bulova

·

Can definitely vouch for Squale, I love my 1545. I've had it since December last year and it's almost become my daily wear.
