disliking certain watches

have you ever seen a watch you strongly dislike in the wild? if so, how did you react?

I remember seeing my boss' giant gold invicta watch, no disrespect to invicta but that thing is just too much lmao

I didn't know what to react but the first thing I though was it looked like an omnitrix from ben 10 because of its gigantic size 😂

there's a guy at my gym who shows up with a bunch of gold jewelry and a giant invicta, surprised i haven't been blinded 😹

Yeh, my taxi driver had a Diesel watch. Monstrosity of a thing. Fake gold, chronograph quartz. Probably about 48mm. Horrible thing.

I said nothing to him about the watch.

Every Bremont I’ve seen - I just don’t get it

·

Panerai on watch crunch. I barf a little every time I see one🤣

·

I see watches I dislike frequently. I just say "to each their own" and move on.

I tear it off their wrist, stomp on it, reach into my pocket, and hand them a Breguet Classique.

This is what we all mean when we acknowledge this is an expensive hobby, right?

I make up for it in volume.

Not my watch, none of my business! I mind my own business.

I had a meeting with a higher-up in my company (banking sector) and he sported a GINORMOUS black and gold diesel watch (to a suit). I didn't know they made 'em this big. I tried googling it later on and I think it was a "mega chief" which puts it at 51mm case size.

Normally I'm like "to each their own" but I couldn't help loosing even the last bit of respect I had for that guy.

I often dislike a lot of things but that’s due to my arrogance and I often reminded by my wife that I’m being an a$$h0le and my opinion is just mine and mine alone… so as much as I want to say your collection is Sheet… it doesn’t matter… I need to be better as a person…

A former colleague of mine had a giant Diesel skeleton-ish watch. I apparently looked at it sceptically because he asked , "is there something wrong?". I was thinking, yea mate it's way too big for your wrist and ugly as f... but said nothing. Because it's non of my business what anyone wears.

·

No. Generally, it's because most people do not wear watches, because most watches are hard to recognize at a glance, and because most watches I do recognize are merely meh. Besides, when I dislike a watch it typically just means "not for me", or at worst: as a watch enthusiast you should know better, and not that many watch wearers are watch enthusiasts.

Laugh in mind and ignore in real.

Is that Muffin Heeler?

I thought that for a while, but there is something about those classic PAMs. It just works.

·

Anything I can’t afford I hate (cuz I want it)

yes

Not often, but at my last shooting match, a guy was sporting some horribly garish thing - fake gold with a HUGE lime green dial. Probably one of the worst things I've ever seen on someone's wrist. I just tried not to look at it. 😉🤣
