So I have had my eyes on Farer for quite sometime and I've been in love with their designs since day one. I typically love British designs if I'm being honest. I truly think the team over there share a lot of the same loves as I do when it comes to watches. The movements, the colors, the innovation I truly love this brand all around.
I've been looking at the pointer date models of theirs as I always loved that complication and the look of the additional hand. Whether it be a GMT hand, or an alarm, I always liked the additional hand and was never the biggest fan of the date wheel. The green dial variant (Exmond, I believe it's called) was just too busy for me, and the white variant was just not doing it for me. So I gravitated towards the blue dial.
Now $1k is kind of out of my comfortable watch budget, though I could swing it, I'd rather keep them relatively cheaper. Well I found this bad boy with the whole kit (box, extra straps, and authenticity card) all for about $600, saving me about $400 for a little wear and tear. And as you can see it really isn't much and the crystal is in wonderful shape. I was super happy about getting this. However I bought it on the 19th and didn't receive it until the 30th..
I wasn't a huge fan of the wait, but I certainly understand it considering the holidays. So everything just went super smooth and I couldn't be happier. Now the size is 38.5mm, the lug width is 20mm, 45mm lug to lug, 12.3mm thick made with 316 marine grade stainless steel. It has SLN Grade Super-Luminova on the markers and hands. 6mm screw in crown, with a flat sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating, and an external hard anti-reflective coating. I came with brown American Horween leather strap with steel buckle, dark navy blue waterproof nylon NATO strap, '5 row' integrated 316 marine grade steel bracelet with tri-fold clasp (fit to size via link removal) - all with quick release pin fitting.
Now the Super-Luminova on the indices looks almost white/mauve which I kinda dig, but in the photo here it shows up almost green. Overall this is a great piece and I'm super happy to finally have it on my wrist. It's my first swiss movement boasting the Sellita SW221-1. It's smooth and not one hiccup, absolutely love it. My ONLY gripe about the watch is it's lacking an exhibition caseback. With the Sellita SW221-1 you'd think they'd wanna show it off! But I hope you guys take a look at their watches!

Very nice design, I particularly like the chamfer on that wide bezel. It's a look I like. Colours are cool too.
