A shadowy figure approaches you in a dark alley...

They offer you a magic watchbox, in which resides a specific brand's entire past, present and future catalog of watches...

...but it prevents you from wearing any other watch from any other brand.

You cannot sell your magic watchbox watches, and for future watches, they appear in the box as soon as they're announced.

Do you take the deal? Why? Why not? Which brand are you choosing?

would accept, omega, iwc, vacheron, even Longines would do the job

·

Not after the last time it happened when I was a child and I was invited to see a box of kittens in the back of a van. 😢

·

For me, it's Casio all they way, you get G-Shock for sport, MRG's for bling, Oceanus for elegance, Edifice for a cool sporty look and all the cheap digitals for a bit of fun.

Omega rises to the top...

·

Yes but wich brand?. Man.. at first i thought Patek or Lange…. But i prabobly would get stabt and robt in every major city in Europe… Id rather take Seiko or Grand Seiko. Huge katalog from vintage to new, from cheap to expensive. And i stay alive.

Solid!

·

For me it is simple. Omega. Although I have only one Omega watch, I have a special feeling toward the brand because of family history. In addition, I think the brand offers every type of watch that I could want. They are technically innovative. They have excellent dress pieces, sports pieces, divers, chronographs and other complications. They use different materials. And, they are sophisticated and understated, which is what I like.

·

Rolex. Yes I’m a Rolex fan. I know they are terrible and treat everyone like dirt blah blah. I still like their watches and want to own several. P.S. my personal dealings with my Rolex AD have all been pleasant which is probably why I’m not so anti-R.

So many choices with Omega! But I feel I'd just end up going with the AT most of the time...

·

We all skip around the obvious answer, the most iconic brand in the watch world. There is no other brand that most brands imitate and hackers make fake ones that sell almost as well. No I don't mean Timex, I mean the other one with an X.

Formex! Good choice!

Xeric?

I'd go with Longines or Omega. The oddball choice would be Universal Genève. Nice enough back catalogue and exciting to see what'll pop up in that magic box in the years to come.

·

Such a tough choice...

Do I go aspirational? (Omega)

Do I go whimsical & aspirational? (CIGA Design)

Do I stay with what matches who I'm likely to be for the rest of my life? (Lorier)

Do I go for sheer volume? (Seiko)

Do I choose realistic aspirational? (Longines)

In the end, it's between Omega & Longines with Longines emerging victorious for me.

But tomorrow, it might be the Speedy & all it's iterations that wins.

·

Easy, OMEGA.

On sheer volume of historical models alone 👍🏻

Thank you, very kind Mr Musk. 😌

When do I take delivery?? 😁👏🏻

·

I'd go zelos for fun, they have a bright future ahead of them and have a backlog of past great Hits that you couldn't find on the market now even if you wanted to.

·

So anyone who kills you trying to steal that nice watch off your wrist will not be able to steal your watch except if they steal your magic watch case? Oh s***t!

I’ll take seiko if it includes with Seiko and Grand seiko, don’t want to be that guy.

·

Omega is the obvious choice for me. It has everything under the sun. Classics, high horology, precious metals.

But I'd go all in with ALS. Who wouldn't want a Zeitwerks as a daily. I mean if we're being absurd to being with.

·

Patek Phillipe. An amazing range of the best watches out there.

·
Aurelian

I could be happy wearing nothing but Mido (and clothes, of course I would wear clothes...and shoes).

I would go with the house of Seiko. As the Seiko Watch corporation would of course include all brands from Grand Seiko to Seiko 5 and everything in-between😉

·

Yes, I would take IWC. By far my favorite brand. I love their historic models, the temporary ones and I admire their current development so I have good expectations for the future. And besides, I like almost every collection, from pilots, theough Portugiesee to more dressy ones. Where is this alley? 😂

·

I’d choose Seiko. I’d have: Willard, G757 Digiborg, Pre 2017 Grand Seiko (before the split), Cocktail Time, H711, Astron, Dolce, Lord Matic, Elnix, various versions of the Arnie, and DresSKX. Practically unlimited styles and some great divers and anidigis.

·

Deal.

·

Accept and Omega.

·

I'd choose Oris any day of the week. They have a vast vintage catalogue of cheap pin-pallets in the early days to decent automatic watches later on. In more recent history, they've only been going up.

·

Patek

TAG Heuer - imo you can't beat the variety and character of their lineup, and how it straddles the line between creative but classic, and adventurous but tasteful

·

Yes, Rolex!

·

Rolex, Omega, Longines, VC, Patek.

Those catalogues would suffice, any of them.
