The best everyday watch?

Hello crunchers!

I am approaching my very first "expensive" watch purchase so I am looking for an everyday watch. I work in the hospital so I need a robust, light weight and with some water resistance piece.

I have narrowed the choice to 2 pieces that are in my budget, but I really prefer the integrated bracelet! My only fear Is that since I don't like rubber band on prx It could be boring after some times.

Help me my friends!

HKFA punches way above its weight. See one in person if you can. The dial is really beautiful. I know you said you like integrated bracelets, but the Hamilton is the perfect example of a strap monster. It looks good with every kind of strap, and as you're figuring out what suits you best in your work and personality you'll want the option to try out steel / nato / rubber etc.

I have both and can safely say that the Hammy is my favorite watch by far. Get it. It is worthy.

I am going with the 38mm everyday!

·

The Hamilton is the classic that will never go out of style from on of the most iconic manufacturers 👍

·

Voted for the PRX 35mm due to 100% pure unfounded speculation that the PRX will weigh less than the HFKA38.

If you have some bandwidth to look outside of these two, I would recommend you look into some Citizen eco-drive options as well.

·

Forget the Swatch group products and look at the Sinn 556 A. Slightly more expensive, but will be a tough cookie rugged enough the survive the tough life at the hospital

·

I voted Hammy because Dr House wore a Hammy. There, that's my logic.

I didn't knew that! Also I am a nephrologist as Dr House lol

·

I’d chose the Hamilton for myself between the two, but since you prefer the integrated bracelet, I’ve voted for the PRX. Go with what your heart desires!

I don't like the way Citizen watch look.

Choosing PRX means using heart, Hammy instead is using mind.

He wore a khaki king on the strap in seasons 1 through 4 and then again in seasons 7 and 8. 💪

I have my reservations about the HKF but it is by far a better everyday watch. Much more versatile and has a better Powermatic movement for slightly lesser price then the PRX.

If you are looking at Tissot, I would go for the Gentleman.

I thought about the gentleman too, but I stilo prefer this 2 other options.

I checked the Sinn and I must say that is very good. But it cost double as the 2 watches in the poll because I have 20% discount in my store so they will cost around 600 euros.

Owned numerous Hamilton khaki's and have handled a PRX and the Hamilton are just better quality imho. The PRX bracelet feels nasty cheap.

Oddly enough the reviews say that the bracelet is the best part of the PRX. I handled a couple and seemed at least good.

That's awesome. I gotta pull mine out of the drawer and give it a turn today.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. I love mine as it's thin, unobtrusive, and low key.

Not trash at all, just neglected. Great watch

·

Wow! So many votes on this poll! I really wanted the PRX, but know there are some good arguments against it.

·

The Hamilton is a classic. The PRX is trendy and HIGHLY overrated

·

I own both. I love both. They are both great everyday watch.

But the Hamilton is more versatile. The Khaki field looks good on any strap immaginable. NATO straps, leather straps, bund straps, have fun with it. I think the metal bracelet looks out of place on a field watch, a bit like a leather strap on a dive watch.

The PRX is a really cool watch too. Can be a bit expensive at regular price, but try to get it during a sale. It's not that much overated, the integrated bracelet is a bold genre, you like it or not, doesn't fit anybody. And IMO it looks wierd with plastic bracelet, so it's not really versatile, bracelet wise.

I'm not sure I can tell you anymore, I only started on the Crunch a few months ago myself. I do know that a lot of the big retailers in the UK have sales in January, so I'm going to keep watching the internet and keep my fingers crossed for a good deal.
