This Watch, That Watch on the Monta Skyquest GMT

Worth a watch: This is fast becoming one of my favorite channels, great background listening. He pontificates on the Monta vs Tudor hinting at the historical reason they are very similar, but also how watch manufacturing at these price points works.

He is more philosopher than a watch expert, but fairly knowledgeable and he is accurate re: robots / sourcing battles / ‘Swiss made’ fallacy

I’ve seen a few of his vids now but didn’t realize his channel had a name 😂

I like his channel. He has a lot of knowledge and insight that I find helpful to my watch addiction.

🍻 Very few of the popular YouTubers are watch experts to be fair, and he brings his expertise in brand management to the table, which is directly applicable to this space — a lot of his opining is based on that POV.

I love his channel. No one does more with less. I believe the Monta is the first Watch he got specifically for review, thus all videos are his honest opinion. He clearly has loads of business knowledge and that’s how he carves a niche for himself. He speaks with authority as a business consultant and Watch nerd, but at no point does he seem obnoxious. I never miss his videos.

One of my favourite channels, relaxed delivery and interesting topics.

·

I like his channel as well. Subscribed a few months ago. Good stuff!

·

One of the best

·

He provides truly valuable content. I appreciate his approach to explaining the topics. While I may not always share his opinions, he effectively challenges my perspectives.

·

Has become one of my favourite things to watch. Always well thought out intresting content. Reminds me of Pete McConvile in that it’s rarely a watch review but always interesting

·

It is tied with Theo & Harris as my favorite channels

·

I couldn’t agree more, his to the point assessment are just what the average Joe needs.

He's exactly the kind of guy you'd want to hang over coffee with and talk watches

Did he mention this? I got the feeling he's a marketing exec, so this would make sense.

Yes, in one of his episodes he did. He has an astute take on the branding / strategy side of things as opposed to the flame wars and hot takes you get from the usual.

Yes, I do like his channel (especially as I’m a designer myself).
