First World Problems

Here's one:

The Heuer Monaco is a grail watch for me.

I can't afford one, full stop.

However, even if I could get one it would be physically too big for my 6.30'' / 160mm wrist.

Sad times.

Get a poster. :) That way you can enjoy the looks without spending too much for something unwearable.

My wrist is big enough, but same- not ever going to be affordable. My "consolation prize" was a Yema Meangraf Super, which doesn't look the same, but kind of captures the spirit of the Monaco. It also comes with a second strap (black leather rally style). It would probably look pretty good on an aftermarket link bracelet as well.

That made me think of the Bulova Parking Meter, but it's too big for the OP as well...

That is a great alternative!

I wanted that watch too. I tried it on a few months ago. But even I could not pull it off. And I have a pretty bit wrist (7.5 in). It is just too big and it wears even larger. It felt like I had a TV monitor on my wrist. I decided that it was not for me. So don't feel bad. Just move on to the next one.

BTW, I will be in Porto in August. Are there any good watch places to visit?

That's how I feel about the Speedmaster Pro! And the affordable alternative, the Bulova Lunar is even BIGGER!

Ah well. Seiko Solar Speedtimers for both of us.

I have a friend with one, love the watch but it looks ridiculous on my 6.5 wrist .. sad but I can't afford it anyway.

Life's too short to worry about if it fits or not. If you love it, wear it. Here's my Monaco on my small 16cm wrist (same as OP)
