I would recommend a seiko dolce dress watch.. sacm171... not mechanical, but a high accuracy quartz which is also cool.. for sports watch, the nomos neomatik sport 37.. thats 200m of water resistance with a thin case and beautiful exhibition caseback..

The seiko 5s... snx123, snke61k1.. I saw someone wearing it once and thought that was a nice homage..

The perfect gada, everyday watch to me is the explorer 1 in 36mm especially the 114270. Most versatile and complete watch ever. Fact is that so many other brands are homaging the explorer watch. From seiko to smiths to farer to baltic to traska and many more.. I wouldnt waste time and just buy the real deal.

The annoying ones are the scalpers. Also, buying with investment considerations removes the joy and sincerity from the hobby. Unless investing is the hobby.

Mr Jones and Brew watches seems unique to me that cant be found in major brands.

My Nomos neomatik sport 37 comes with a push pull crown.. its just convenient to wind and set the time. The watch has 200m water resistance though.. should be fine I guess.
