Since it seems to be a Longines bonanza after Max video I do a rerun

My two Longines. A 30L from 1963 and Spirit from 2022. And yes @Max I can do with a diver.

What clearly legible dials and clean, uncluttered design. The problem with the Spirit is those new fangled Hindu numerals. It would look classier the old way.

Hindu I don’t know. Look more modern to me. But I really like the depth of the applied Hindu/Modern/non Roman numerals.

Agree.  I just think that it is interesting that Arabic numerals came from India via Arab traders.

One of these days I am going to get one of those HMT redials with the Devanagari numerals.

That vintage is such a nice looking watch. Timeless beauty. Too bad they got wordy with the other one. Longines speaks volumes all by itself

Very nice!  Just curious about the 2022 Spirit: is the 5 star thing an attempt to get better Amazon ratings?

Longines has been using stars on their dials for several decades, usually three or five stars.  I can’t explain their significance.

I believe the 5star is just a Longines internal quality mark.

The Spirit collection looks so nice, I'd love to pick up the 37mm someday!
