I sure am glad there are no import taxes on watches bought within the EU as Finland's watch market is very small and only some cheap no name brands and some of the biggest brand's watches are available. For example I couldn't find Timex anywhere.

I may have written it poorly, but these are not provided by the military. They are purchased by the soldiers themselves which means that the watches need to be cheap and reliable.

I would suggest a Vostok Amphibia it's even well below your budget so you'll have plenty enough left for a nice strap for it

I just checked it and it doesn't really have the same appeal. I don't really need the special complications of either. I just like how the 1200 is quite similar to a Bond watch. 

It also has better illumination than the F-91W which is the primary reason why I got it.

A Vostok is always a good pick. I myself also have only one mechanical watch which is my Vostok Amphibia 420280
