I bought mine from a German dealer called Poljot Uhren. Their prices are a bit high for Vostoks, but seems that most of their stock is pre-Russo-Ukraine war.

There is conscription when you turn 18 and then the starting date for your service is scheduled and there is a medical evaluation to see if you're fit to serve. Also the service can be 165, 255 or 347 days.

I'd go for Vostok, but their catalogue isn't very varied. They have no digitals, chronos or pretty much anything else beside divers that in my opinion can work as dress watches with the more subtle dials.

During my service in the Finnish military I too have noticed that Casio dominates in the watch department. Although I have seen only 1 G-shock which was my friend's. This may be because the Finnish military service lasts only 347 days at most (unless you get hired as staff, which isn't that common)
