From what I remember of the books. Bond had a Rolex explorer ref 1016 inspired by Ian Fleming's Owen watch. Sadly never made it to a bond film 😞

The Rolex Submariner. All variants worn throughout the films. It kept with the books in that Ian Fleming wrote that Bond wore a Rolex. Not a Sub as I think the first Bond novel came out when the Submariner was about to be launched but some Oyster cased model. And the scene in Goldfinger with the Rolex cemented its iconic status. Oh, a 5513 with rotating saw bezel in Live and Let Die also did it for me. Can't beat that when you were watching the movie when you were a kid -reruns at the local cinema in the small town I was living in back in the 1980s.
