Casio just has a strong contender in every category. God tier as some would say!

·

This plus the band was a hair under $300. It’s not automatic, but it’s a quality quartz at +-10 s/y

That has me drooling a little

I agree with the Seiko tank. I brought mine a few months ago and love it. Here’s my son and I reviewing it.https://youtu.be/J7obPsaDnMM?si=BnfrHb_ZK71elwzK

Awesome!

Awesome!

Thanks! It’s great that since Credor has so little brand recognition you can easily find their watches from the 90s for a great deal

Vintage is 10000% an option. Adds to the class to in my opinion!

·

Bulova My Way at $550 is close enough. Also in gold with a white dial.

Well this little Rone looks like the 30's Rolex but can be found in good condition for under £100.

Like the overall design, I do think the Sinatra signature is a massive negative for me.

Otherwise a nice looking watch though

Now that peaks my interest, thank you

Throwing the Swatch What if...? into the ring😎

Did a bit of a post about my similar search here: https://www.watchcrunch.com/GullibleAndroid/posts/why-did-i-buy-another-rectangular-bulova-43530

TL;DR: After several catch and release of this type of watch, I settled on a Rotary Cambridge and Bulova Sinatra My Way.

My Lip is very shiny for $200.

Yes this. Still beating myself up for not getting this, a French brand, while in France. Looks good on you.

I'm waiting on my vintage Waltham to get back from a service. 750 riverside mvt, manual wind, if I remember correctly. Tiny. 20mm across, 40mm lug to lug, think the flexo band is only 14mm. Love those numerals. Been wearing this little beauty before Timmy Chalamet even knew what a panthere was. (Great grands watch but most of these Walthams can be had for under the 500 limit)

My second tribute to the challenge. Longines President Garfield (I believe, still having trouble finding any info on this watch). This one is a perfect square (minus the lugs). 28mm x 28mm if memory serves. Stepped pyramid case, which pairs well with the stepped dial. Diamonds at the cardinal indicies. Current version is a redial but plans are in the works for a potential overhaul. How does Longines have so many good looking vintage watches? ($14 estate sale find w/ non working movement, $55 for a redialed working movement, so $69 bucks all in so far).

Not in my possession yet, but will be arriving on Tuesday the 18th. I already have the cream and yellow gold tone version, but I just can't wait for this one, it's a looker! $180 with shipping straight from Osaka, Japan.

Eh though I like swatch, that one just looks uncomfortable to wear😂 what if though….

I own one of these and it is a really comfortable watch to wear😉

·

I Was trying out the Bulova Sutton yesterday at an AD. I think it looks great, but the strap is kinda bad.

These quartz Credors are slept on. I haven't been saying much about them in fear that prices go up, because I'd only be able to just barely afford the one I want after some saving.

Delete this; nobody may know of this sacred knowledge!

I think the 90s circular quartz credors are appropriately slept on IMO, they’re so small. These rectangular ones though hold up to the test of time though.

I prefer a smaller watch, so I actually began my search with those 90s Signo models. As with everything, my budget kept increasing as time went on despite not actually earning anything more, so I'm saving for an early 2000s Pacifique two-tone.
