Swatch

I wanted to write a post dedicated to my admiration for #swatch as a brand. For me, the value in Swatch is not just in its affordable price but in the level of fun and childish nostalgia the brand brings. So many fun colors & collaborations for me #swatch is a reminder not to take things too seriously. I've shared some of my favorite Swatch watches on this post. What are you favorites from swatch?

The only Swatch I own is one of these.

I love the way it looks but rarely wear it. It’s ginormous and the ticking is comically loud.

I still have this, nearly 20 years old, still reasonably accurate.

I had this Swatch Irony that I busted up while surfing and sold for parts.

Really enjoyed it though.

Swatch watches, where my passion in the 80s for watches started. My first swatch was the GB105.

Still addicted to black dials.

Most of my watches are Swatches. I just love how fun and vibrant they are. I can usually find the perfect Swatch for any outfit, weather, and time of year combination. I've got spring designs for spring dresses, darker muted designs for winter blues, even vibrant greens for St Paddy's day or summertime fun. I love how versatile they are. So many watches all look the same. These stand out.

I remember having one as a kid. I think the flikflak played a role in sparking my love for watches

That’s a nice #swatch you’ve got there, I love the big 12, 3, 6 & 9 markers

I don’t think I’ve seen this before! Is this mechanical?

That’s what adds to the fun of #swatch watches in my opinion. You can have maximum fun with them and when they get beat up or break, it doesn’t hurt as much as more pricey pieces

Great choices! The dial on that Soto is so cool! And yes, the Charlie Brown is one of my favorites as well

#swatch does make a ton of fun colorful designs. You could definitely have a collection of solely swatch watches 😎👊🏼

Yes, it has an ETA 2841 automatic movement. It's from the diaphane collection, which was part of the Irony line in the early 2000's. Diaphane watches had translucent plastic cases and metal bezels, most were quartz.

This was my very first Swatch back in ‘87. So went back and got me a retro one again.
