Yo Breitling is awesome

So, I just recently visited a Breitling boutique and the whole time I was wondering to myself, “These are easily as nice as an Omega!” I was especially taken by their chronos, the Navitimer and the Premier specifically. Has anyone else had a similar experience with a brand that they hadn’t expected much from but ended up being great?

Breitling is super underrated and tbh you can build a hell of a collection with just that brand. I’m digging the superoceans, top times, and premier collections. My personal favorites are the pistachio and the salmon dial b25. I tried to try it on at WoS, unfortunately it wasn’t in stock but they did have the rose gold lol. 🥵

I couldn’t agree more, I think my top 2 have got to be that pistachio dial Premier, and possibly a black dial Navitimer. I feel like something about their watches just works stylistically, and the more I look at them, the more I like them.

Long time fan of Breitling, bought my first Chronomat in the late 80s, gave it to my daughter when she turned 30.

Never thought much of them due to all the pilot cosplay and awful Hollywood endorsement deals but then this happened. Still don’t care for them as a “brand” but I couldn’t be happier with the watch itself and the new 57 Superocean Highlands are gorgeous as well…

I consider Breitling, Omega, and Rolex to be equivalent.

My main issue with modern Breitling is the same with omega and rolex I wouldnt be reassured to be wearing a 10k watch everyday. But they are realy nice and I love my 00s Blackbird .

Louis Vuitton.

Expected an overpriced fashion watch.

Such great finishing and the microrotor through the case back is really nice.

They’re still ludicrously expensive, but you’re getting a fantastic watch if you’re the target market.

This uses a Swiss designed Venus movement that Breitling also used to use.

I am also really learning to respect Breitling, but most are just too big for me unfortunately. Also hard to drop that much cash on some of their models that still use an ETA2824

·

My only breitling so far is an older Chrono from the 30s with a Venus movement

Definitely, the idea of wearing a watch that expensive feels a little weird to me.

Yeah, I think that most of their value lies in their B01 and B01 variants, it is hard to justify an ETA at 5k.

I was going to buy the JLC triple date moonphase but one of my daughters said there is no BIG HURRY, lol but she would treasure owning this watch one day after I no longer want or need to wear it. My family members have a history with Breitling so happy to go along. Good luck with your watch hunting, visited Chicago on a few occasions, great city, architecture even found an authentic Chinese restaurant one evening when the Mrs was tired of pizzas and pull pork sandwiches. Have a great day!❤️

Recent visit to a Breitlng boutique I came across their Top Time Chronos. Never been on my radar before, but looked epic in the flesh. Not sure I can put them top of my wishlist, but would certainly recommend people check them out.

The Premier B01 line is gorgeous, though a bit too large (diameter and thickness), but I do love the dials. And I’ve friends that have owned the older (smaller) Chrono references, which I also really liked.

For many years I suffered an irrational bias against Breitling driven by my dislike of their Navitimer. That watch stands out as “the” Breitling, and so I dismissed the brand for years because of that. Totally irrational. Thankfully, having seen more of their watches of and think they easily stand up to Omega and Rolex.

100% agree. These new Breitlings compete with and surpass their Omega/Rolex counterparts.

I had no interest in Breitling and I don’t like chronographs in general. But that pistachio dial! Just beautiful 😍
