I’ve done Pen Y Fan and a few of the peaks around there, and I did take a day off from work and spent a morning getting drowned on something I think is called The Black Mountain (not the black mountains). The rain was hammering down and the trail turned into a stream…
The only trouble is, I have one of these Garmin watches with navigation mapping on it. That’s generally how I find my way on hills, especially useful when it’s snow covered, but now I hate wearing it as I’ve been spoiled by other watches! It’s so handy though having mapping and getting all the heart rate metrics.
I’m thinking about visiting Thailand later this year, we’ll see how that goes…
I’d love to visit Australia at some point. I’m just a bit anxious about some of the wildlife. Nature programs make it sound like just about everything is trying to kill you over there!
I’ve visited Wales quite a bit. Before COVID I was a frequent visitor to Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons, as well as a few rather “interesting” other mountains and hills.
I’m coming to Snowdonia in May to spend two nights in Llanberis and do Snowdon via the tourist (llanberis) path. I’ve not done that route before so that’s a first, but also some fun nights out with people!
Lovely Sinn there! Aside from watches I have a passion for travel, hiking (particularly mountains or anywhere with amazing views).
Aside from that work and two kids keep me fairly busy!
I’m a little unclear on that point too. If you could have bough it brand new, why didn’t you? Unless it’s like Rolex where if you want to pay retail, you have to go onto a waiting list…
Likewise if you’re seeing it on Chrono24 for less and they represent a better deal for you, why wouldn’t you just purchase it for that better deal?
