Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
I was exposed to luxury watches some years ago at work but it wasn’t until becoming active in the community that I thought it would be acceptable to collect them
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
A child’s old timex that teaches you to tell the time using a dial
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not really yet but I plan to fix that soon…..
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Learn to appreciate the virtues of every kind of watch for yourself. Don’t let others tell you what you should and shouldn’t like, or you should and shouldn’t wear.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Panerai, Sinn, Tudor, Otis, Cartier
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
My Panerai PAM 320. I’ve admired the Luminor watches for years but never thought it was ok to spend so much to buy one until I decided to make some big changes in my life. I love it to bits and plan to travel the world with it by my side. With the GMT function and 300m water resist, hopefully it can take everything the world can throw at it!
