Your wishes and hopes on 2024 of the Industry?

First of all a happy new year to everyone.

You might be even like me have high expectations on the watch industry for the upcomming year. Whether it is for prices, designs, models, reissues, new sizes, colors...or what ever you missed so far for your wrist.

Please write down, what are you waiting for or what's your expectations on the watch industry to come along with?

Let me start with my issue: Fluted Bezels.

I would love to have one with a beautiful shining fluted bezel.

There is just a big lack of. I know...there a tons of, especially at the "homage" and low price range. The problem is, that fluted Bezels are not easy and cheap to produce, so their bezels does look usually as it is: cheap ...but in a bad way.

There are also totally overpriced models as for example the PRX with. An entry level watch, getting a full gold fluted bezel and rising the price to over 2,200 Euro which I actually get without fluted bezel and quartz movement for 300 Euros. The bezel looks good, but the relation is just not reasonable.

Than there are the vintage watches, which I actually looking for but as years gone by it is even more hard ti find a proper Tudor Prince with an undamaged bezel also for a resonable price.

I miss in the whole industry a proper fluted bezel watch in the entry or mid tier level (not just by the price). Tissot showed already that they are able to, but as full gold one to justify the unreasonable price rise is the wrong way. A Tissot Gentleman with fluted bezel would be awesome. Or something from the Tudor again (not like the royal), or even Rado made it in the past and could reissue it again. Especially with their Plasma High Tech ceramic it would be badass.

So....what's your turn?

What are you missing and hope to finally get in 2024?

Happy New Year to all of my fellow inmates here at W.C.!

As far as watches go, I have little aspirations for the year ahead, as my modest collection is rather complete to be honest.

BUT if I happen to come across a (really) good deal on a pre-owned Timex Marlin Chrono or a Citizen CA7040 Pilot Chrono, then ya never know! 👍

Happy New year. My hope is to get a Starbucks at retail.

·

I would love to add a tri-compax chronograph to my collection or a Vertex. The former I can find pre-owned (my preferred method of collecting these days beyond a certain price point) while the latter has proven difficult to find on the used market.

Both cool watches. Good luck for 2024

I also still want a tri compax Chrono. I bought few weeks ago my Zeppelin 8888-2 for a really good price. But I want surplus a more sporty one.

Just took a peak and that’s a sexy beast! Good luck with the hunt.

Happy New Year all 🥳.

I would love to see a re-issue of the Tudor Submariner Blue 'Snowflake' 9401/0.

However, suspect this will never happen and the Pelagos is as close as we will get 🤔 #tudor

I'd love to see more new releases in smaller more traditional sizes 34mm to 36mm

Good point. I actually see this trend on the horizon.

I think I saw some reissues already omming on 37 (may be 36) but I feel like that the trend of big sizes will turn back now to smaller sizes.

I think the sub 36/37 dimensions will be still offered on the "women" lines, but who cares. As long they are not pink and with diamonts they could be worn as unisex, as like the PRX.

Happy NY to you too. My wishlist picks would be SS VC 222 and Ti Rolex Explorer 1 with white dial. Of course available for purchase is another wish🙂

An "upscale" Seiko SRPE with the thinner 6L movement and high end execution. Basically a non-reissue King Seiko type of thing.

Happy New Year crunchers. I'd like to see Rolex be transparent for a change in regards to their "waitlists" You should be able to track where you are with regards to the watch you're interested in. But alas, don't see any of that BS changing anytime soon.
