Here are all the watches of note in my collection currently. Unfortunately not all of these get wrist time at the moment.

Happy New Year crunchers. I'd like to see Rolex be transparent for a change in regards to their "waitlists" You should be able to track where you are with regards to the watch you're interested in. But alas, don't see any of that BS changing anytime soon.

Grey market is a mixed bag. If I can get the watch with box and papers, I'll go Grey. However some Grey market dealers such as Jomashop don't offer manufacturers warranty cards. Which means they only offer a Jomashop warranty. Generally speaking, when you go to sell, you will get between 10 and 15% less without the manufacturer warranty card vs if you had the card.

I Wouldn't say its a poser watch, that being said. Gold or gold plated are not watches that I'd wear. As for the integrated bracelet look, i actually like the Christopher Ward 12. I think value for money, it's a better watch.

I have a Smiths. Personally, I don't like the way they do business. But I like the watch. But you'd probably be fine with either.

This is a really nice watch and if you buy on the secondary market, generally right now they will be less than retail or at least it used to be that way. Me, personally, even if I had the money, there are so many other watches that I'd want over an AP Royal Oak. But that's me.. you do you.
