Forget emergency, the toothpick is my primary tool of choice for drilled lugs and clasps. Less likely to scratch anything.
I will always use toothpicks if I care about the watch being scratched up

Toothpicks for sure. The apple liquid metal sim ejectors are kind of special and haven’t gone that direction yet, but now that we’re finally in the era of electronic sims, I’ll have to reassess their raisin d’etre 😉
