I think every watch can be a conversation starter. It depends on what kind of conversation you would like to have.
Everybody's idea of a "perfect" watch is different, so no brand will ever make a "perfect" watch.

You're exactly on point. One of the primary reasons Watch brands willfully mess up its features as a cost cutting measure.
One day they will truly experiment and make something mediocre
