Brew metric gold and black is it worth it?

Ok watchcrunch fam I need your thoughts. I really like this watch but the price is $650 CAD plus $48 shipping to Toronto so at the end of the day it's $700 CAD is this price worth it for a meca quartz watch? Also I've been eyeing the Baltic MR01 which is not that much more plus free shipping.

I want to try a gold watch but don't want to spend the money so this brew metric gold would let me have a taste of goooooold lol

I ordered the red collab with w&w so definitely a fan. I’m expecting to feel like I overpaid for movement and underpaid for design language so that will be a wash. It’s probably a good choice to see if gold finishes suit you. Casio also offers several options for under $100 us. Legit way to test out gold for little money.

i absolutely love it!

got mine used in almost mint condition for 450€ (~656CAD says google) and i don't regret it a bit!

you buy that watch for the design and they absolutely nailed it, so unique

Oh you ordered the worn and wound collab red version, that's awesome I was looking at the green. Yeah I was looking at that casio which is cool but I really like the design of the Brew. Maybe they'll introduce more colours for the automatic? I think it's got the Seiko NH35A movement.

It's a stunner! Thanks for the input 🍻 I read somewhere when you change the battery the chrono hands don't align back unless you take the hands off and align them to 12 o'clock? I wonder if that's true....

I think they will probably start giving a choice on movement on all the mainstays. Nice to have the option.

it's definitly a unique watch. Meca-quartz isn't a bad movement. If you love the watch, go get it, 700$CAD isn't that expensive.

I picked one up primarily because I like the unique style, and partially because I love the look of a black dial on a gold toned watch. Total cost, including exchange, taxes and fees was $752 CAD. I feel it was well worth it, given the level of finishing along with the unique design, but I hardly ever wear it.

Thanks for the info! That helps a lot. I'm in Ontario so the tax is 13% so I'm expecting it around your price or closer to $800 CAD I just ordered it an hour ago. I did it for the same reason as you. Why don't you wear it?

I have 7% PST, so total tax was 12%.

I wear it occasionally, however I have a fairly large collection, and find that I'm usually wearing one of my mechanical watches. I actually started wearing it after responding to your original post.

*Update* I bought it 😊
