$1,750 CAD for this Seiko SPB451 would you want a signed crown or you're good with nothing?

Had an argument on YouTube about a tool watch=no signed crown. How does the WC family think? I think for $1,750 I would definitely want a signed crown.

Signed crown is one of those nice to haves that to me don't really add much value.

when/if you're ready to spend the $$ for this watch, will a signed crown hold you back?

Yeah I'm on board with that. I just feel that at this price it would be nice to have

True. I guess it wouldn't but I would like to have that. With this Seiko though that's not the only issue I have. I believe this has a lower beat frequency of 21,600vph it would be nice if it was 4hz but to get that extra pwr reserve they decided that vph was good enough. Maybe if I saw this watch in person that might sway me? Also with Seiko raising prices I feel we should at least get a little bit more, no? 馃し馃徑鈥嶁檪锔

If I like the watch other than a signed crown, it isn鈥檛 a problem. It鈥檚 just too small of a detail in the larger picture.

True. Maybe I'm expecting to much.

I would not say you are expecting too much. All I said was that it didn鈥檛 matter to me. That said, and I haven鈥檛 looked this watch up, but if this is still in production you could wait on the purchase. If a signed crown is something you truly enjoy, this might not be the right watch. This isn鈥檛 an extremely unique design, and there鈥檚 plenty of similar watches you might consider. Have you considered this as a course of action as opposed to buying a watch you have misgivings on? It鈥檚 just a thought.

It is Seiko. Signed crown would be expected at this price point, aligned bezel too.

At this price point, yes on all alignments. But crowns are questionable, because some like them more than others.

Well it is more a self respect of the brand to offer signed crown, no matter what the people preferences are. Those crowns on Seiko just look cheap, on my former Alpinist especially
