GMT for me!
Zero interest in the actual GMT function, just aesthetically looks so much nicer with the classic Seamaster lookalike dial & most importantly a date complication that can easily be ignored 👏🏻👏🏻
If you select the SARB017, you have to like the green sunburst and gold markers at least. I do, but it’s still one of my ‘out-there’ dials. I bought a jubilee bracelet for it and it shines… #alpinist #sarb017 #jubilee
SARB017 as it's iconic as one of the first big modern green dial hits. I do like both though. Seiko has done the best with dial set ups and colorways on models in this line IMO.

I own the classic green and love it. Is the blueing on the gmt paint or actual blueing?
It's the SARB017 for me. I have no practical need for a GMT complication and the 3-6-9-12 indices layout is less appealing to me than the traditional Alpinist even numbers.
I would go for the regular UNLESS you actually use the GMT function on a regular basis.
