Mido Appreciation

I don’t own a Mido yet, but I really dig this and the Multifort Patrimony. Maybe one day I’ll own both. Congrats on the watch, it’s sweet

I just give my son 20yrs old his first Mido a few weeks ago. He’s loving that watch. He finally learned how to read the time from a real 2 hands watch ⏱️. I’m sure you know the new millennium kids only can read digital time…..lol

Yeah it’s super nice. I had an aquanaut and this is very reminiscent - but with a big date and a bit of its own character..

I can assure you there are still plenty of us 200- birthdate kids who can read analogue. That's a lovely watch, I'm sure your son was chuffed!

I normally dislike round lume plots, dates & GG vibes , so no idea why I like this so much but I genuinely do.

I'll certainly be on the look out for one in the future when available used.

Just find it really odd that this flies in the face of my normal tastes but appeals so much.

Maybe my taste is changing,or more likely it's simply a really good design that just works 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah, prefer the blue/orange combo rather than the dark grey dial. You won't be disappointed if you go get it. Out of interest, what are the other watches you looking at getting this year?

I haven’t any Mido yet. My favourite is the blue Multifort Patrimony. Spoke to an AD last week about the brand. He said he can’t order enough of the TV Big date, like yours. They just fly out from his shop.

My wrist is 7 inches. Watches always look bigger on photos. I'd say this wears like a 38mm. The Twelve is a great choice too.

I love this watch! It’s well priced has decent looks and can have a range of straps on it to give it cosmetics! I’m definitely thinking of adding this to my list of watches!

I'm with you - there are elements that I would generally say I don't like (round lume plots mainly) but the whole design here just works great. I suspect the big date means that baton indices would throw everything off but I feel like Mido caught lightning in a bottle with this - harmonious design that seems to be resonating with a lot of enthusiasts. Feels likely I'll be looking at this as a summer watch for next year...
