World Premiere - Inside the Watchmaker's Studio at Ben Bridge

It's finally here! After literal months of prep, scheduling, shooting, editing, re-editing, and finally finalizing...I'm proud to present to you fine folks my latest video - one that answers the question "what happens to our beloved watches when we drop them off for service?" Just read your YouTube comment - sorry to hear you had a less-than-awesome experience at some of the AD's in the past. If you're ever in Bellevue WA I'd recommend you visit my guy Conor who works at the Ben Bridge inside the Bellevue Square Mall. I can promise a great experience, one where you're treated with respect and kindness 🤝 and you don't even need to say "the Timist sent me" 😜

Cheers James. 🍻. Next time I’m headed to Seattle I’ll DM to see if you’re free. Maybe meet up for a coffee and to try on a few watches. 👍.

I forget, is Conor the chap who hooked you up with a that silver grail silver snoopy?

Vancouver is a weird parallel universe where hyper rich mandarin speaking people dominate. Rolex made Palladio Jewlers the “official AD” of Vancouver, so I blame Rolex for supporting these snobbish jerks.

One of my hospital colleagues just had the same experience as me at Palladio (he is Caucasian as well).

And he is an income bracket multiples higher than myself - and Palladio were still snobbish jerks to him , while tripping over themselves serving a group of 16 year olds conversing loudly in Mandarin. 😔🙄

So, He got a friend in Toronto to track down his Rolex. I tried it on the other day:

Definitely hit me up if you're nearby! And yes! Conor is indeed the fine chap who gave me the call for the silver snoopy 🥰

As for everything else, I'm not really sure what to say - we're a simple yet complex species, there's people and people, the weather, the food, the time of day, and the movie we watched last night all have chances of affecting our behavior and how we present ourselves and interact with others. Sometimes it's really not what you do (or don't do) that affects the manner in which people interact with you - sometimes it's just the bad burrito they had for lunch and you're just catching them at the wrong time 😕 I'd say don't write anyone off, assume good intent and just try again? If it's a consistent experience and you don't see any change, then yeah, find yourself a different AD, one that appreciates and respects every single person that walks through their doors 🤝

BTW that's one handsome Sub, tell him "congrats" 🥳

Well, what did you think? 😀

Yeah, really, really good. Fascinating to see behind the closed doors. Thank you for making the video!

Rock on, glad you liked it! And of course - in fact, I'm working on another in-depth video that will likely come out later this year/early next year focusing on the education/schooling/training aspect 👍
