Breguet balance-spring. Pare-chute. Magnetic pivot. Magnetic strike governor. Breguet hands. Escape-wheel and lever in silicon. First wristwatch. Tourbillon. Ect ect ect.

Rolex have the most sought after lines. I only want 1 or maybe 2 Omega, Cartier, Breitling but I could easily have 6 or 7 different Rolex models.
Rolex is more iconic because whenever I mention that I collect watches to someone, the other person asks if I have a Rolex. 🙄

Out of offered 4 I would say Omega. Sure Rolex is the king in last 20-30 years and nest marketing guru in history but looking at complete history timeline Omega was superior and more significant than Rolex for longer period. If looking at other brands/in absolute I would say Breguet. Just look at their history, who wore their watches and how many genuine inventions they made

I own multiple Breitling, Cartier and Omega models so those brands matter the most or are iconic for me but Rolex will win this poll. My first serious watches purchased as an adult were Rolex but wanted to just step away from the mob, imo watches from the other 3 brands were a bit more interesting to own, to have on wrist.
Gotta be Rolex. There are a couple of Omegas I like, and one Cartier, but for overall line…it’s no contest. I own six Rolexes and there are still a few more Inwant to add to my collection.

Cartier has an elegance in their design that the others can only aspire to. Cartier offers an understated style that has class & good taste in abundance. There are no better when it comes to dress watches, which is my favourite of all styles.
Rolex is a fashion brand compared to OMEGA if you look at their histories. Cartier is Jewellery. If I rated them in what means iconic to me it would be:

Breitling
Rolex
Catier
Most iconic to me? Omega
Most iconic in general? Rolex
Non watch people have no problem naming Rolex. That alone says it all.
