NWA, Third times a charm! Orient Star Outdoor Pilot-Field Watch
As some would like to call this the 'ExplOrient' (Explorer and Orient). This is my third piece of 2024 after my synthwave timepiece.
I managed to snag this huge bargain on a pre-owned condition compared to a fraction of its original doubled price. The warranty expired, and it's been unused since bought last year. It came with a used barton canvas strap and its original unused OEM leather strap.
Been monitoring its condition in and out, still looks brand new and works like a charm!
My usual love for military-style watches, and I'm interested in getting one with a rugged, 100m adventure type and pilot-style that has numbers at 3, 6, 9, and 12 dial. This would be my first initial curiosity to witness the power reserve mechanism in action.
By its looks, the unique and unconventional arrangement of the elements positions the brand logo at 6 o'clock and the PR indicator at 12 o'clock, resulting in a stunning symmetry that elevates its overall pilot-field style watch.
Honorable mention that coexist with the 3-6-9-12 dial style, is the Rolex Explorer like so, Tudor Ranger, Panerai Radiomir and the Sinn 556a. These watches have a rich history and respective offers approach that inspired me wanting to sport myself for wearing one.
Indeed, I researched and discovered this JDM piece as an affordable alternative, and it did not disappoint me at all.
