How good is your NH35?

Let us know how good yours is running.  I have several and the best is in my new Revelot Hexmariner and it's running at -3s per day.  A great workhorse of a movement, but is your within COSC?

Somewhere around -30s a day.

I have an NH35 in a Zelos Swordfish. When I first bought it in 2019, it was running +4SPD.  The last time I used it, it was running +30SPD, which is way beyond my limits of acceptability.

·

Yes, I guess there are good and bad units of anything in life.  I have a Seiko 6r35 in my Sumo that runs at about +35s per day and that movement is supposedly higher end.

·

Anything from +/-10 to +2 seconds a day. (And I own a number of them.) I know I said that before, but keep in mind that their accuracy drifts. They will need to run for a while to settle at a specific accuracy.

·

All NH35s have been purged from the system at this point, but the last one I owned was a Boldr Venture I bought who knows when. A minute a day was a good day.

·

sorry to hear that others have had such bad luck. My experience has been exclusively good. Now, my Islander with an NH35 is running +7s/day

·

NH35s are wildly unpredictable. I've had a couple; most ran fine (within a minute a day, okay considering it's a budget movement) but another one simply didn't run at all. After that I determined the NH35 movement, assuredly, was not my cup of tea. My collection is too varied to keep a certain watch wound virtually all the time to achieve acceptable accuracy.

·

I have had good experience with the NH35.  I have one microbrand (Humism) that runs +1sec/day and a couple other microbrands with that run around +10secs/day.  And yes, I did check them multiple times over a week to verify.  I haven't checked my Presage watches yet, they are 4R35.  Is that a completely different movement?

·

I'm so impressed with the performance

·

I have a number of them and they range anywhere from +or- 1-2 seconds per day to +or- 30 seconds per day.

·

I've never had an NH35.  All of my automatics have been powered by either Swiss-made movements, or clones of them (I have two PT5000-powered watches).

·

I have quite a few NH35s. I've never had one run worse than around +14 spd. Most were below +/- 10 spd when I got them. I have regulated some of them with varying results. Some definitely run better and more consistently than others, but all are running quite well. Here are my latest tracking results (on wrist) with my automatic Seikos:

Alsta with NH35 = +2 spd

Islander Bayport (NH35) = -2 spd

Seiko mod with NH35 = +0.5 spd

SPB141 = +1 spd

SRPG29 = +0.5 spd

SRPH33 = +2.5 spd

SRPE61 = -1.5 spd

SPB121 (6R35) = +0.5 spd

SARX055 (6R15) = 0 spd

SPB143 (6R35) = +1 spd

SNK809 (7S26) = +2.5 spd

SNKL23 (7S26) = +9 spd (my most inconsistent Seiko. Too inconsistent to effectively regulate.)

·

Recently parted with a Zelos NH35 which was regulated during modding to about +10/day when still and around +10-17/day when worn.

·

Looking for a (or 10) dead or dying NH35s for practicing repairs and mods.  Donations accepted!!

·

My 4R36 runs at approx -15 spd

NH35 = 4R35

I’m not entirely sure the exact timekeeping, but I know I was able to wear It 5-7 days with very minimal change in time.

I have a 6R35 movement that was running +92spd. I brought it to Seiko service centre and it came back with +6spd. It was under warranty so I didn’t pay for it. I suspect your watch just needs regulation or may be it is magnetised and just need to be demagnetised?

😮Those are AMAZING numbers 👏!

Yes, but many of those were regulated specifically for my daily habits on a typical work day. If I go hiking or do something active all day, those numbers will likely change. Positional variation is still pretty high for most of them. But even so, they‘ve been keeping great time, and I’ve been very pleased with the results of my regulation efforts.

4R36, one at +12 the other at -23, both in Seiko Mini Turtles.  Never owned a NH35/36.

·

I have two, SRPE51, SRPE69, the 51 is about 5-6 secs slow per day, the 69 is about 1-2 secs fast so, pretty good. Normally store face up overnight but, if store on side overnight then, accuracy drops a bunch…

·

I have two

one is +10 seconds and has been constantly for two years the other is +6 secs over a month….. simply amazing for the price , both watches under £100

The NH35 in my Pagani Design PD1671 BB58 homage is running about +4 spd, and that is without any sort of tinkering or regulating. I have a couple that run pretty slow by comparison. A couple other ones I have tried to regulate resulted in damage to the balance spring. Fortunately those were on some cheap homages.
