I don’t think I’d have the skill to do such a task, so I tip my hat to you. Do you use a wearable magnifying lens to help you with this work? If so, where did you get it? I suppose Google might be my friend here, but I haven’t really found much.
Looks great! I plan on doing the same in the not-too-distant future. What was your biggest challenge?
Honestly setting the damn hands on correctly haha. They are so fragile, I bent the minute hand on my first set. Had to order new ones that came in today. Other then that dial went on nice and cutting the stem for the crown was easy. I'll probably do anyone soon. Good luck with urs. Post pics when done

That'll probably be my bugaboo as well. I'll take extra care. Thanks!

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. The build was actually easier then I anticipated. I didn't use a magnifying lens but would definitely help when setting the hands. I just watch a YouTube video and followed that
I really want to do this but I want a custom dial so that is m challenge at the moment. Are you going to use a different movement next time, I wanted to use a Sellita SW-200 but struggling to find them on eBay as the results are filled up with copies.

Yea I think next time I will go with a different movement. Maybe a miyota. Good luck if u build ur own. Just be gentle and patient with the hands 👍🏻
Oh no not you too lol another one has or will have caught the modding bug. Looks good, great dial choice
Haha it all started with lightly moddding my Vostok amphibia. I'm happy with how this watched turned out. Might build another one soon. Can't beat it for $85

So far for my first build I ordered from Ali express. Alot to choose from and so cheap in price
Thats usually where i get parts however if your looking for dials, then you will have an easier time finding better looking dials there. That has been my experience this far

Yeah, looks great. I like the cathedral-style hour hand.
P.S.: What made you choose a black date wheel for a light dial? Just curious...

Thanks, yea I am pleased how it turned out. I went with the black date window stand out more. I didn't want all the whites blending together
