My grandfather got me into it long ago. He always had pocket watches that I admired and I ended up inheriting them….
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
1975 SEIKO BLUE EYE
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
My ROLEX Submariner with date. My first high end watch. I purchased it new at Jaccards in downtown St. Louis on July 3, 1981. It was the most expensive thing I had ever purchased to that point. It was $850. However, I could have purchased a stainless "Daytona" for $800, but why would I want a manual wind watch!!!!! Ha Ha Ha..... The rest is history
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Buy what you like, but buy the best you can afford, and you will never regret it….
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
GRAND SEIKO, DOXA, ORIS, Orient, Sinn, G-SHOCK, Hanhart, CITIZEN, ZODIAC, SEIKO, SEIKO Rowing Blazers, TISSOT....
