I have been here a little longer than you. Divisiveness and arguments come in waves. I have participated in a few. I don't perceive an uptick, but that just might be my perspective because generally what I say is obviously correct and not subject to disagreement.

Sure, the ups and downs of social media. People are making claims of facts that unless they’re an expert in that field, should just pipe down.

Most arguments here are of two types: 1) Discordant tone (a response that reads a bit harshly); or, 2) Only partial disagreement (the commenter and poster agree about 85%, but that last bit is bitter, Cartier as both a jeweler and watch manufacturer features prominently in these disputes).

Iam here cause theres no where else to be for being a watch guy. Having Thick armor when disagreements happens is more admirable and manly then traumadumping about something that happens in every social media app.
True, but I’m not even beefing with anyone, definitely not here. Just thought folks can be a little more understanding and less judgmental. I have real life if I want to pick a fight with anyone…and I’m here for that too.
The stirring of the pot is pretty cyclical as these things go. Honestly, if you joined a month ago, you haven't seen the big thread deletions in prior months.
And most of the participants are still here, still posting and are mostly civil to each other.

Does "traumadumping" count as 💩? Cuz it does sound nasty.....

Also muting works wonders.
True, obviously I have no history here so I have no idea all the stuff that happened before.
E. Relax from real world stressors, read the opinions of members I respect, read about new brands and other's impressions, and poke people who are stupid or easily offended.
Here to learn , pass time between customers (I have to work Saturdays), have a laugh, marvel at others pride and joy, maybe pass on some knowledge to the less experienced, of course to show off my superb timepieces ( doesn't everyone think their collection is superb?) , Keep up to date with all the latest releases and trends, research possible future purchases, & generally chat to other folks from all parts of the world, from all walks of life about common ground we all are fascinated by.
I think it's brilliant, wish it'd been around years ago - would have saved me a fortune ( or more likely cost one 😂)

But do you see how weak it looks to give social commentary on internet interactions. If this was a group of guys meeting once a month to talk about watches face to face the Dynamics would be far different, there may be one or two outliers that are antisocial. On the internet it's going to be more like 50% of people going to act antisocial meaning not acting in a way that furthers the group. When people feel like individuals on the internet they seem to act more antisocial than if in a group setting with a group mindset.

That is all.
Life is entirely too short to waste it shitting on people.

Only trauma dumping I experienced was after drinking tap water in Mexico City 💀

It should be A, really. Interestingly I’m getting more negativity here than on Instagram.
