Why are we here?
Recently I’ve been noticing more and more divisive posts and responses which begs the existential question, “why are we here”?

I have been here a little longer than you. Divisiveness and arguments come in waves. I have participated in a few. I don't perceive an uptick, but that just might be my perspective because generally what I say is obviously correct and not subject to disagreement.

Sure, the ups and downs of social media. People are making claims of facts that unless they’re an expert in that field, should just pipe down.

Most arguments here are of two types: 1) Discordant tone (a response that reads a bit harshly); or, 2) Only partial disagreement (the commenter and poster agree about 85%, but that last bit is bitter, Cartier as both a jeweler and watch manufacturer features prominently in these disputes).
