This or That? The "other" Omega and Zenith chronos . . .

The battle of the non-flagship chrono . . . both of these have their own history (the FOIS an homage to astronaut Wally Schirra's CK2998 and the El Primero being arguably the first automatic chronograph and one of the most precise of its day) . . . but these particular models aren't THE watch most collectors would go for . . . at least to start with . . . some of that is b/c of hype for the other model, being conservative with taste, buying into history, size, or a sense of versatility etc. But we're not talking about the modern El Primero with the blue/gray/black overlapping sub-registers or the Speedy Pro with or without the NASA approved hesalite. In fact, try not to think too hard about history here . . . you get these two watches placed in front of you and you have to choose one. Which one is it and why?

The Omega, not much cooler than being a watch that left Earth & found itself in the final frontier.

I‘m not a chrono guy, but these are two of my favorote chronos out there, the third being the Carrera 90s reissue. Super tough choice, but I think I‘d go for the Zenith with a panda dial. The movement is better and the case is more special. But the FOIS remains a wonderul watch.

I made my choice I own a FOIS.

I'm just voting against the ubiquitous Moowatch.

See this is the type of poll you'll go back to and constantly change your selection because they're both iconic.

They'd both be in a top 10 list of all time IMO...

I've selected the Zenith because it just looks super cool and fun. Absolutely NOTHING against the FOIS.

Both watches are great but I would go with Omega as Zenith case is a bit peculiar, small and date at 4.30 is a big no no for me

The FOIS if you want the better story. Get the zenith if you want the better watch.

Yeah, fair pts . . . I wouldn’t rec the Zenith for a newcomer to watches but def provides more interest for those with a few watches in a box beyond the typical.

Been eyeing the zenith revival 🐼 for a while

I have 4 Zeniths and 0 Omegas.

I want many more Zeniths and maybe 1 Omega (but not for the money they want for it).

I think I'm team Zenith. What do you think? ;)
