This or That? (no worries safe travel watch)

Looking for another affordable (but unique) watch that I won't really be paranoid when traveling esp. in larger cities. Yeah, long sleeves, situational awareness yada yada . . . I also still travel with a GS sometimes. That said, I think it's always good to have some cheaper options in the arsenal to grab that you also want to wear in a rotation. Deciding btw. Brew and StudioUnderd0g (the latter obviously via gray market since the last run is sold out).

I have a Brew Retromatic. It's a fantastic watch. I recommend Brew as a whole. But the Studio Underd0g Mint looks amazing.

·

I think I have a thing with Brew lately.

·

Of the two, the Studio Underd0g will turn more heads in a good way.

I heard that a fluted bezel was the key thing that makes a watch scream 'steal me'

·

Of the two -- I think that the Brew is a better choice.

Just bought an Essence 39 and could not be happier with it. Definitely the Studio Underdog from your picks.

·

I voted for the Underd0g purely on looks. 😎

I have a Brew (but the Metric Retro Dial) and I also have the Studio Underd0g Mint Choc Chip. I appreciate the Brew but I have feelings towards the Underd0g, so that would be my choice.

I don’t travel a lot, but I do travel. New York City, DC, Chicago, I’ve never hesitated to wear my watches. Sure it’s not a Patek, or a Royal Oak but my GMT is way more noticeable than those unless they were blinged out, the Royal Oak anyway, never seen a Patek blinged out. Where are you guys traveling to, that your first concern is your watch?!

Typical travel pack, I favor dual time or GMT watches. Also favor quartz, less expensive and good for ‘grab and go’.

For the plane - the tritium lume is useful on overnight flights, my Marathon all quartz. Also good for general walking around

For meetings, conference work GS GMT quartz

Something a little dressier for evening, still quartz, my Rado Dual Time

The goofy panda is really nice. I vote the studio underdog.

Aside from a big gold Rolex I’ve never felt unsafe wandering London in any of my watches. Even with the rolex nothing ever happened.

That said - of the two - the brew. I just haven’t clicked with the studio underdog - id much rather a seagull 1969.

If I was to use the same budget you’re considering I’d go for a cwc and some change :-)

I think they are both great. I recently picked up the Brew Metric Gold, and am amazed at the level of quality for the price. I've seen the Brew Retrograph in person as well, and it's a beautiful watch too. I haven't seen a Studio Underd0g in person, but I do have a Desert Sky on order. I had waited till the last minute to place my order during the last order window, and am therefore one of the last people to get mine, with delivery scheduled for May (it was originally supposed to be my March).
