Similar more affordable options

I've been obsessing over the marathon MSAR, though its out of my price budget. I've been looking for a similar 36mm dive watch with similar design queues. If you have any recommendations for similar watches do please share.

I wish you luck in finding something similar but I really don't want to raise your hope because what makes the MSAR special is unlikely to be found in another watch.

Can't say I've ever seen anything that has those awesome tritium tubes. And how are we defining 'affordable'. But here's some watches with similar vibes...

Well affordable to me is sub 200$ (which is still a huge chunk of money where I live). My yearly salary is litrally 3.5K and that's pre tax 😅

It wasn't that long ago that these would sell for half their retail price pre-owned. Prices have definitely gone up quite a bit since then, retail and pre-owned.

Guess I joined the hobby late :(

The newly announced 38mm Seiko 5’s might be the only thing I can think of. Cheaper, smaller sized divers. Not quite the same aesthetic but maybe the silver dial one will work for you? I don’t know.

Its pretty close to what I was looking for yes. Thank you so much for the tip my friend :)

look up boldr they have a very nice 38 mm with 44 lug to lug diver.

You might also want to look into the Oris aquis in 36mm. Not necessarily a similar design. But I find it to be a no nonsense smaller case diver and enjoy mine. Mind you, be prepared for a significant taper on the bracelet from an already rather small lug width.

Hope that helps and enjoy whatever choice you make in good health.

I absloutley adore the dial, though its nigh impossible to afford it sadly. Though thanks for the suggestion my friend ❤️
