Show us your jewels

Post some pictures of your watches with the least jewels and most jewels. For least, My Casio Outgear Fishing Gear watch comes with zero, and my Seiko 5 comes with twenty-one. I have a Certina movement that's in pieces with twenty-five. I'm keen to see what some with more complicated watches will bring forward.

Least is my Seiko 9943-8020 Grand Twin Quartz with 5 jewels. A superb quartz watch with a movement that was built to last. Most quartz calibers don't have any jewels at all.

The watch in my collection with the most is my 6246-9000 Seikomatic Chronometer. It's got a whopping 39 jewels which it proudly boasts on the dial. This watch was made in the 60's when there was a bit of an arms race between major watch brands to see who could cram the most jewels in their movements. Several of the jewels in this watch serve no purpose whatsoever and are essentially decorative.

Very interesting! I love quartz calibres with jewels, they really are a rarity today.

That’s a real personal question to ask…at least buy me dinner first😜. They’re definitely not blue.

That micro-rotor is beautiful. I saw a Smiths pocket watch for sale also with a zero-jewel movement. Great pieces!

Excellent pieces. Whenever I hear "clutch" when talking about watches I go into a state of frenzied lust. Enjoy them!

Man, the Germans can really make watch movements into art.
