Streching a point...

Some may eulogise about Rolex's Gluidelock system, but for ultimate on-the-fly adjustment you can't beat a cheap and chintzy expander. 😃It may be a nostalgia thing - my old man's watch always having been on one when I was a kid - but I just love these things. 'Hair-nipping' wooses, look away now 😖😄

Nice Hamilton, I used those expandable bracelets when I was little, stop pulling out your hair, they pinch your wrists 🤣🤣🤣

·

I don’t have a lot of hair on my wrist.. so this might work for me lol. Gonna have to try one someday.

·

Nope. Tried it once and hated the damned things. 0/10 for me. Sorry.

Philistine!😂

I have a few that are half bracelets half expandable.

I like the sound of that!.

I recently picked up this vintage Hamilton with one of those adjustable bracelets. It's a bit too big for my wrist, and looks like a real pain in the butt to resize, but I think it really suits the watch.

Here is one I have photos of.

Wax your wrist first or get the pain in little pinches all week. That would look great on leather.

·

I've got two inherited watches on period expansion bands/bracelets. One is a bit tight so it's only comfortable for a few hours. I keep meaning to get more for my other watches, as Speidel still makes them along with the Eye of Sauron of Chinese manufacturing. They are necessarily a bit thick though.

·

I wear my Railmaster on a flex bracelet from time to time and have to say it's so comfortable! Yeah it might look wired on a modern Omega case, but it's so comfy 🤩 and zero hair pulling, even though I have hairy arms. I think the modern flex bracelets simply have superior quality.

Loving that. I have an early 60's gold Rotary on a gold stretcher.

It will end up on leather at some point, as I'm an habitual strap-swapper.

Those cut-out markers are beyond cool!

My Grandfather loved the Speidel bracelets. He found this little Vacheron on a golf course!

Stunning!

Every vintage piece I pickup has a Speidel stretch band. I need more options. I have too many.

·

Too many? ... Never!

Those cut out allow the hours to cahange from 1-12 to 13-24 making it a 24 hour watch.

Amazing!!! Never seen anything like that, wow!!!

It s the Gruen Precision Airflight 24 Hour Watch. They can be found if you are patient and they can vary a good bit in price.
