GS SBGE283

Newest addition to the collection! First time double dipping into a brand; makes a great pairing with my White Birch SD.

Haven't seen this piece talked about too often yet as it's still fairly new, but it's absolutely stellar. The clean black dial really helps the markers pop and improves visibility. Always preferred the PR on the back, but it seems to work particularly well on this piece, I think because the dial doesn't look too busy/cluttered given the flat dial. It really adds to the sporty look. The titanium is also a very nice touch, possibly hard to see over photos, but it's much warmer/darker than stainless steel, and has almost a gunmetal vibe. All in all, ecstatic with this new addition!

nice pick up! I tried the white dial on at a local deal and really liked the look and feel on wrist. A bit on the chunky side but I think that just sort of goes hand in hand with the overall vibe.

I tried that version on and it was the right at the top with a Cartier Santos Large as the most comfortable watches Ive ever tried.

Really liked this piece. I love GS and own a few but I never can get past the power meter on automatic watches... its a really cool watch though.

love this one. the fixed steel bezel is 🔥🔥🔥

Score!!! Looks awesome. I zoomed in on your dial and the exquisite detail is so GS.

Yup, Ti crushes it. Moar Ti. My SS Evo9 fits so well can't image how good it is with Ti. 🥰

I'm one of the nutters who isn't, and wasn't, ever bothered with a front side power meter. Full frontal baby. I rotate around my watches to quite a silly degree, so knowing the power left with a mere glance is great. 👍

Congratulations on a beautiful watch!!!!!

Congrats bro!! I got the white dial SBGE285 version a couple months ago at the end of January. I can’t stop wearing it!

That's awesome! I was torn between the two for quite awhile, the 283 and 285 are both amazing pieces 👍

Usually when I go with a Grand Seiko, I like to choose their textured dials, as I can find a flat black dial on most every other mainstream watch. I like looking down at my wrist and seeing something truly unique. But you can’t go wrong with either. Especially if legibility is your chief concern. The black dial will always display time more clearly. Cheers! 🥂

Gorgeous piece, congrats!!

Love this! Very cool watch that ticks slot of boxes. Makes me want to get. gS that much more I could see myself wearing this watch happily

I’m def the sort of collector that used to be a one and done per brand but I think GS is going to break that mindset for me since I want both a spring drive (already have my Shunbun) and a 9F quartz sports model. Really looking hard at the older SBGN005 now as opposed to the updated model, which seems like an odd downgrade in some ways.

Beautiful watch

I have the SBGE285 and it's such a stunner. The black seemed a bit plain to me at first, but now I'm starting to like it more. Congrats!
