Seiko Alpinist
I've been flirting with the idea of buying this Seiko Alpinist for about a year and a half, buying a few other watches along the way of which shared design elements. But as they say, you shouldn't settle for a watch when you've got your heart set on another. I've now sold those other watches, and I've bought an Alpinist! I'm chuffed with this Seiko SPB117J1. I've always loved the ruggedness and history of the Alpinist... I've just never been a fan of the green dial and big, numbered indices. But thus black dial model is awesome!

Buying Seiko Alpinists is a bit addictive. I have 4 covering all 3 case shapes. I don't have the new GMT but my local dealer is trying to tempt me...
I must admit I've been looking at the same one. Been so disappointed in my last few Seiko5s, ether QC or size issues, I just kinda gave up on seiko and went microbrand. The Prospex line is much better but damm that shit is spendy!!
I was caught by the same Alpinist bug.. back in January I bought the green dial.. it stopped keeping time.. exchanged it with other one that had quality issues and so returned it. The Seiko came up with Alpinist GMT and the bug surfaced again.
I’ve been having the bug for 2 years now. Been thinking of getting the glacier dial but can’t seem to pull the trigger. Just looks so good 🔥

The GMT looks amazing and I'm in decision paralysis over the blue, green or trying to find the limited white dial

Beautiful! I do have to say that I really like the GMT Alpinist though.
I Love the alpinist, I bought the green variant a few years ago and sold it but the black and white dials are awesome
Currently own the old school re-edition of the original alpinist
