Rainy Day Checklist

How do you spend rainy days with your watches? Do you tinker with DIY projects, swap straps, or try on a selection of wrist candy? Do you brave the elements and take your watches out for adventure, or something else?

In the NW, we've transitioned from regular winter rain to biblical-flood-style January winter rain. Today is cold and windy and it's been coming down in absolute buckets for over 24 hours. I'm staying in with:

✅ Indoor hammock

✅ Kindle

✅ Cat

✅ Cool new watch

I hope you're either enjoying your local weather, or enjoying not being in your local weather! ☔☀❄️

Pretty much the same, reading or watching movies with the cat. He is soft and warm which is a big plus when it's cold outside.

The only DIY I do is occasional strap changes. Other than that I don't have the skills, patience, or need to tinker with my watches. I buy them because I like what I see, not for what I can change.

It's winter here In New England and everyone is going nuts because we're getting snow for the first time this year, not even a huge storm. Nature of the beast here. In 6 months everyone will freak out because it's 90 degrees.

Either way I wear the same watch, but maybe on a different strap.

People are funny about weather aren't they?

It's hot in the summer here? People complain. It snows? People lose their minds. It rains for 2 months around the clock? Meh, business as usual. Folks will be lined up at ice cream shops and drinking beer on patios in a downpour, I just don't get it. 😂

I'm originally from Southern California, and people tell me they could never live somewhere the weather is always the same. I'm like, "O rly? Tell me more..." ☔☔😐☔☔ I've also heard NW natives talk about the Gulf states and say they could never live "someplace so humid". 🤦🏽

Hunker down with my wife and the pups, watch TV or read a book, but wear a favorite watch I will keep glancing at throughout the day. 😊 Stay dry and enjoy your time!

Nice Griffy.

Super cool armitron! I love it!

I’m learning more about watches. The center one is almost complete and ready to recase. The others are waiting on parts. There’s a gap between knowing what to do and having the dexterity or skill to do it. I would describe this best as practice right now.

So cool! I admire the leap from wearing to tinkering.

If that's not a winning philosophy, I don't know what is.
