Invicta Pro Diver
I have seen so many mixed feeling about Invictas, they inflate their prices then give a 80% discount. Watches are big and goddy, which is all true but you can find some decent watches. I have a Glycine under the invicta umbrella. It's a really good watch. Swiss movement, sapphire crystal and 200m. Invicta is definitely not the best band out there but I much rather have an Invicta then a 1:1 clone like a Pagani or something off Ali Express. The Pro Diver $65 for a everyday beater not bad in my eyes. The whole point of this post is to ask, why so hate? You know what you're getting but the hate is so strong with this brand.

Invicta brand has been around since the 1830’s or so. At one point in history it was a great watch brand. Then they disappeared came back and went commercial.. I think they got bought out then went commercial making gaudy designs selling on TV shopping networks etc etc and really started bambooziling people (if that’s even a word 😂)
Invicta is a very special brand and they have done, and are doing some shady stuff. Not very customer friendly with their price policy. But I as well own a Pro Diver and it's the best watch I own in this price range. I love everything about it besides the nasty invicta writing and the side.
Please don't mention Glycine as compared to Invicta. Luckily they are only owned by Invicta and still operate independently from them. Hopefully it stays this way.
With that out of the way, I agree that a small percentage of their watches are ok. Pro Divers, esp. the 1953 stand out among the monstrosities. I bought this one over 20 years ago when they were using Miyota movements.
The hate comes from their long history misrepresentation( fake MOP,meteorite,sandstone dials, ) Document lies about "Swiss Made" watches with Chinese movements) and abysmal CS. (they still charge the customer for warranty service)

So from what I'm gather on this post is that when invicta tries to do a specialty watch like an Meteorite, "Swiss Made" and so forth they do it poorly and basically lie to customers saying this watch is worth $1,100 and gets discounted to $100. Have crap customer service when complaints when individual to try to contact them of said watches. That's where all the hate comes from. I understand it now.

I don’t hate them, although they have some, shall we say, interesting watches. I have a quartz pro diver. It’s pretty darn good for the low price.
Ya con 4 años de uso y no me da la verdad problemas, si es casi rolez, pero comparado con otras marcas que te dan lo mismo material, a mi me resultó satisfactorio aunque con algo de altura para usarlas con nato o bund. Pero muy fiable y buena reserva de marcha esta en 21600 justo justo para tener buen marco de marcha
Espero sacar 4 años del reloj. Por $ 65 para obtener 4 años sería bueno

I have to give Invicta credit for tapping into a market that has been underserved. If you had asked me whether you could sell a watch like the Invicta Venom, I might have not have taken seriously. And yet this stuff sold.
The Pro Diver has its merits, but I'm quite confident that you could buy a better Diver on AliExpress for the same amount of money, even without considering parts compatibility.
The Pro Diver I bought a few years ago had some obvious compromises regarding the construction of the case. I don't know if that has changed since then.

I agree there are many watch snobs/fascists out there. I have an Invicta diver that my best friend gave me. It’s big and bold and keeps great time. I love it almost as much as my submariner which it was based on.
I gave mines away to my best friend and it’s been his favorite watch. I did this because I got the 1953 in black love it!
