Why would you buy one of these?

In all seriousness, why would you write an article like this? https://www.theweek.in/focus/leisure/2024/02/29/best-rolex-replica-watches-2024-top-fake-rolex-models-to-buy.html

This is from someone that is clearly disconnected from the hobby. Someone who has no idea what real enthusiasts want.

I'm out of words. Let's discuss. There's alot to unpack in this one.

I couldn't even read the whole article. Just the title made my blood pressure reach unhealthy levels. Where do we even start?

Because unfortunately there’s a market for it.

This was my prompt, fyi: (please give a three sentence dissertation on the stupidity of AI generated articles)

AI-generated articles can lack the critical thinking and creativity that comes from human writers, resulting in shallow and unoriginal content. Without genuine emotions or personal experiences, AI-generated articles often fail to resonate with readers or convey genuine insight. Additionally, the lack of ethical considerations in AI-generated content creation can lead to biased, inaccurate, or potentially harmful information being disseminated.

So click bait done by AI.

Ethical consideration. That's the key right there.

It's an Indian web site. Perhaps in their general culture, such a purchase is not looked down upon. <SHRUGS>

If I was travelling in a country where the chance of having my Rolex stolen was good I’d want to be wearing a fake

If this is a true representation of what drivel AI regularly spits out, then we’re all going to become a lot dumber from reading it. OMG

Fake people, fake article, fake watches

Or wear a cheap Casio or an unbranded cheapo quartz watch. Better than not being robbed off an expensive watch is not being robbed at all.

·
  1. It's a promotion for those sellers. They even state that at the bottom.

  2. Hence, it's clickbait! It doesn't mention a single model!

  3. They wrote "invest" and "fast fashion" with an "in" between them. This contradiction in terms makes me think it was written by a human after all, because computers use bayesian logic.

The replica watch thing aside (people are going to wear what they're going to wear) these things are expensive!

For $1200 USD I'd rather have a premium Seiko... Or an entire case full of Casios!

Actually, probably the Casios 😂

Why? Risk death for a fake watch?

·

Everyone who buys one of those is an idiot. I can’t even describe how I hate people who support such criminal organizations with money. 😡😡😡

I traveled a bit I noticed if you wearing a simple F91W nobody will ever notice or pay no mind to you.
