I actually sold my sub and replaced it with the SMP300 Wave dial. I was worried I might end up regretting that move but a year later, it turns out it was an excellent move. Financially and watchistically. Is that a word?
Wanted a Seamaster 300M for 25 years before finally buying one. Roughly six months later was offered a Sub from an AD right after the guy who they called for it declined it. I had never requested one, nor showed interest in it, so I politely said thanks but not thanks.

When I picked 'Submariner' I started to grin when the overall vote favors the Seamaster. I own both, but I have the Seamaster on my wrist right now. Love them both for different reasons.

No Date Sub.
Date gets -1 point for the cyclops. Seamaster gets -1 for HEV and -1 for ugly hands
Seamaster would be the easy winner with the HEV gone and 2254 hands.

cyclops is what distinguish a rolex though.
Only gripe I have with the Seamaster is the stock bracelet is kinda big, heavy and doesn't taper.

I put mine on an OEM deployant rubber strap. It's never gone back on the bracelet. In fact, I tossed the bracelet.
I have both and I prefer the Seamaster. I have mine a blue artem strap and it so nice
Seamaster for me! Love mine…

Artem sail cloth is really nice, make sure to get the deployment clasp with it though.
