Welcome! I think you have a great choice under 1K! You can always look at Seiko and Citizen. Shinola has options.  I tossed on a Victornox today under 1k . Hamilton has a lot of options as well.. They have solid watches from $500 plus to right at1k

Hard to beat the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80.

$1,000 is a great budget and gateway to so many watches, I would recommend looking at: 

1. Tissot PRX Powermatic really hard package to beat. 
2. Hamilton Khaki Field for an everyday reliable Swiss made watch
3. Seiko Presage Cocktail line up for a more dressy option 
4. Seiko Prospex Diver’s line up if you’re into a divers watch profile
5. For a more funky option you can check out this micro brand from Seoul: The first Pitzmann. 
6. Or if you’re a vintage style lover, you could always find Vintage pieces from Omega that are in good condition.

Check out Certina. They have a wide variety under $1000 and they punch way above their weight.

Why buy one when you can buy two... or three? 🤩 You can also probably find a Tag Heuer Formula 1 Quartz if you shop around for $1k or less!

I’d posit Glycine here. Many of the Airman, Combats and Combat Subs can be had in the $600 range.  Can take a beating and they look good.

I think a pilots watch from Stowa or Laco works with a suit. Especially one that isn’t too thick and has a type A dial.

I am sure Tissot Gentleman, PRX, Longines Conquest, Hamilton Khaki were mentioned. Love all of those watched but would also consider Seiko Alpinist!
