I installed tritium tubes on the hands and took off the second hand. I put lume paint dots for hour markers and ground off the crown guards. Watch was cheap to start with but I like it now.
Having ripped a crown and stem out of my work watch that crown guards would have saved, I would never choose to grind away existing guards, but you do your own thing. The luminous paint is a good idea.

That's way cool, but where do you get tritium tubes? I thought it was ridiculously expensive if you don't get it in bulk to make a lot of watches...

Turns out Amazon has them…who knew?
AliExpress has them cheap but there are brighter ones available. Also gotta glue them on with UV glue like the dentist's use to hold fillings in
A very quick glance I would thought it was a Vostok. Very creative.
Amazing 🤩
