Waltham movement

I finally got to see the inside of my father’s old Waltham automatic watch. Any suggestions on how to use these numbers to find out more information would be greatly appreciated.

Waltham before their collapse in the fifties is easy to track. Afterwards, they reorganize as Waltham of Chicago and sell millions of watches, but there is no database for those. This watch is labeled Waltham Watch Company, not Waltham International, so this was the American company, not its Swiss subsidiary. In the 1960's Waltham used Seiko automatic movements (Seiko or UTC), but this one is clearly Swiss. So, I would place this after Waltham is bought by Invicta in 1968. Here is a print ad from 1969. Your watch looks like a Sea Chase.

Part of the fun of vintage watches is the hunt for information. I searched for this over a cup of coffee. I imagine that you can do better.
